Bottlenose dolphins, like these ones we spotted in Mexico, typically are not very eager to interact with humans. Expecting them to keep their distance, I was surprised when this playful trio started jumping out of the water near us. I was elated that I happened to have my camera out and jumped at the chance to capture this shot. Some of my fine art pieces are the result of months, even years of planning. Others are born from sheer serendipity.
